Private Plant Medicine Retreats in Peru

Some journeys are meant to be taken together — with a partner, a family, or a circle of trusted people. True Journey offers private retreat programs for small groups who wish to experience Shipibo plant medicine in an intimate, tailored setting.
Ute has been designing private retreat experiences since she began this work. Intimate circles are something she cherishes. The healing that unfolds in a private group often goes deeper for it.

What a Private Retreat Looks Like
There is no fixed template for a private retreat — that is the point. You choose your location (Sacred Valley, Amazon jungle, or Peruvian coast), your dates, your group size, and the depth of the medicine offering. Ute build the program around you.
Private retreats can be designed as an Ayahuasca Retreat with just Ayahuasca Ceremonies or it can be a Plant Diet / Sama.
This depend on the participants and your intentions.
Additional offerings — yoga, breathwork, movement, bodywork, excursions to sacred sites — can be woven in based on your group's intentions.

Who This Is For?
-
Couples, families, or close friends who want to journey together
-
Small groups of colleagues or practitioners exploring plant medicine as a group
-
Experienced participants who want a more contained ceremonial or "dietero setting"
-
Anyone who feels called to work with Shipibo medicine outside a fixed schedule
Private retreats require genuine intention. Every participant goes through the same application process — questionnaire and a 20-minute call with Ute — to ensure the medicine is a good healthy fit.

Locations
Sacred Valley, Peruvian Andes — Ute's home base. Comfortable, accessible, deeply energised by the Apus. Ideal for groups who want a more grounded environment.
Ucayali, Peruvian Amazon — The original home of Shipibo medicine. Organised in the Pucallpa/Ucayali area. For groups drawn to the traditional jungle setting.
Pacific Coast, North Peru — Quieter and more spacious. Well suited to integration-focused programs.

How to Inquire
Best to reach out at least 12 months in advance if possible — this allows Ute to reserve time with Maestra Juana and prepare a program that genuinely fits your group.
When you write, it helps to share:
-
Approximate group size
-
Preferred location and dates
-
Whether you'd like to arrange your own accommodation or have Ute organize the space
-
Any special needs, wishes, or intentions in the group
-
Whether you need translation, airport transfers, or additional classes
Ute will respond personally and arrange a call to begin the planning process.
