Overview

We offer Ayahuasca Retreats and Plant Diets (Sama) with Tree Medicine — wholeheartedly, in collaboration with well-known and respected Shipibo Maestros and Maestras in Peru. I have been studying with the Shipibo Mahua family since 2016.

This work is an opportunity for transformation — to align, to heal, to learn, and to expand into living a more fulfilled holistic life. Good results only happen through your active participation in the process and the way you show up for it.

Masterplant Retreats

What is a Masterplant Retreat?

We offer Ayahuasca Retreats and Plant Diets (Sama) with Tree Medicine. Wholeheartedly, I offer these Sacred Plant Medicine work in collaboration with my well-known and respected Shipibo Maestros/Maestras in Peru. I´ve been learning with this Shipibo family since 2016. This work is an opportunity for transformation - to align, to heal, to learn, and to expand into living a more fulfilled life. We offer both pure Shipibo Ayahuasca retreats and a Shipibo Plant Diet. A Shipibo Plant Diet is called in Shipibo "Sama". There are different names used, so don´t get confused.

Should you choose an Ayahuasca Retreat or a Shipibo Plant Diet?

Learn about the difference between a pure Ayahuasca Retreat and a Shipibo Plant Diet (Sama) in the text below. Also, if you are not sure yet if you feel ready to drink these strong plant medicines, you can first start working with me in 1:1 sessions online or in - person.

Shipibo Ayahuasca Retreat - Working with Ayahuasca for the First Time?

Beginning with working with ayahuasca alone will give you an introduction into what it means to work with strong plants in the Shipibo tradition. This way, you'll have the opportunity to build up a relationship with the subtle energies and the shamanic worlds, which can create more safety within you and can be a good learning experience on how to navigate your experience. In general, I suggest people start with an Ayahuasca Retreat with us before committing to a Plant Diet (Sama). That being said, we are all different and there is no "one truth" around that topic for me. Many people drink Ayahuasca for the first time with us and start directly with a Shipibo Plant Diet with magnificent results. We will address that and talk about what feels right for you.

How Does a Shipibo Plant Diet With Us Look Like?

We offer Ayahuasca ceremonies and, for people who are ready, a connection to strong Teacher & Healer Tree energies (Sama).

To participate and choose to do a Sama is a big commitment. You need to be very clear that you want to move forward in your life, and you need to be very clear that you are ready to let go of destructive habits.

The Tree Medicine we are offering to diet are mostly Noya Rao and Bobinzana. The Ayahuasca ceremonies are the door openers to the world and energies of the trees. The tree medicine itself is offered separately to each person.

Ayahuasca Retreat or Plant Diet (Sama)?

Beginning with Ayahuasca alone will give you an introduction to what it means to work with strong plants in the Shipibo tradition. You will have the opportunity to build up a relationship with Ayahuasca and yourself. Connecting with the subtle energies and the shamanic worlds just through Ayahuasca can be something very profound. This can be a great first step before you choose to do a Plant Diet with a Tree (Sama) with us.

Starting with Ayahuasca is good to clean and clear certain energies and to begin your healing and learning journey with the plants.

If you feel called to work with Tree Medicine, you can let us know. Depending on your situation, you are wholeheartedly invited to join a Sama (Plant Diet) with us.

Tree Medicine Is Present Even in a Pure Ayahuasca Retreat

Please be aware that if you join us for a pure Ayahuasca Retreat, you will receive the tree energies through the Ikaro. We work very strongly with the Tree Energies. Even if you are not dieting with the Tree, the frequencies and intelligence of the Tree Medicine will support your process in our retreats.

Depending on the individual, we offer the tree medicine in vapor baths, plant baths, to smoke, or as a perfume — even to those participating in a pure Ayahuasca Retreat and not in a Sama.

There are different levels offered to connect to the Tree Medicine in our retreats, even if you don't participate in a Plant Diet.

Why Build a Relationship with Ayahuasca First?

Building a relationship with Ayahuasca first — connecting to the subtle energies, learning how to respond to this plant consciousness — can create more safety within you before participating in a Sama. This foundation can give you more navigation tools for your path with these plants.

In case you feel called to join us, we will navigate and consult with you individually to decide what your path is with us. We are all different on all layers. In our discernment of which plants and path are right for you, we look at your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual patterns and energy shapes. You will always be included in the process.

Certain things we can decide in our online calls, and other decisions will be made in consultation at the start of the retreat and during the retreat process.

A Metaphor for the Path

If you are traveling to the top of a mountain, you can hike to the top, or you can have a plane drop you. A plane might be faster — but if you hike, you may encounter aspects of life along your path on this mountain. You will see what is growing there, who is living there, sense and feel what it is to be walking, learn how to breathe when the terrain gets steep, and have conversations and interactions. Throughout the entire journey, you are available to expand your awareness.

When you arrive at the top of the mountain, you arrive more prepared and with more knowledge about where you are. You are already more connected to spirit, your orientation skills already have some training in this new world, and you can receive in a special way the things which are waiting there for you.

If you choose to go directly into a Masterplant Diet, ask yourself why you would not prefer to take the path step by step. Check in with yourself and ask where this wish comes from. In the end, it depends on your commitment and your inner call. Listen deeply inside of yourself.

In case you are already on the path of working in the healing field, learning with a Tree and participating in a Sama can be very beneficial for your next step toward a deeper healing and learning process.

Ayahuasca is an amazing door opener and has huge cleansing properties that help you understand the unseen and the seen world, both internally and externally. Beginning directly with a Masterplant Diet could leave you feeling overloaded, and the integration could be more challenging.

My general recommendation is to walk the path with these Masterplants in the Shipibo Tradition step by step, rather than going straight into a Sama.

There is never one way that fits everyone. Listen to your heart, listen to your intuition, and feel free to reach out. I am here to talk with you about different options to find out what feels true for you.

Guidelines for Our Masterplant Retreats

In our True Journey Retreats, we have obligatory fasting periods of 24 hours, always around the ceremony. Depending on the process, we may ask you to commit to additional fasting. There are also times of silence in order to connect more deeply with the Plant Energies.

Silence is an important part of being with yourself and is required to connect with the wisdom of the Sacred Plants. The facilitator will always be there to offer guidance. The food offered is simple, diet-friendly food.

During retreat, you are asked to stay within the venue. The intention is to keep your energies clear and to stay connected and aligned with the energy work you receive between the first and last ceremony.

Our retreats are offered exclusively to individuals who intend to engage in deep learning and healing experiences. You need to feel ready to face your inner healing processes and to sit with any emotions and experiences that arise for you.

Our retreats are not offered to those who are only seeking a spiritual experience. You need to say yes to all shadows, feelings, emotions, and patterns that wish to be felt and acknowledged by you. That said, our retreats are also not offered to people who exclude higher consciousness and the spiritual worlds from their process.

You need to be open to all the unfoldings and reflections. Compassionate facilitation will be offered to explore whatever is arising for you. It is such an interesting journey to learn, grow, and expand.

Working with these strong plants offers us higher perspectives — the idea that there is a higher guidance through the plants and the universe. This is magical and exactly the medicine we are looking for in our sometimes limited human experience.

Private Groups & Ceremonies

Some of the most profound journeys happen in the company of those you already trust.

True Journey welcomes private group bookings for families, couples, and small circles of friends or colleagues — whether you are drawn to an Ayahuasca ceremony, a masterplant dieta, or a combination of both.

Each private retreat is shaped around your group's intention, timing, and experience level. Juana Silvano Teco leads the ceremonial work with the same care and lineage she brings to every gathering.
